Sorry for the slow posting here at NBS

Our internet service is down, and Time Warner can't come and fix it until Sunday.  They say it is a complete coincidence that we lost service the same day they were out to install digital cable.

We're not so sure.


Time Warner?! I assume you had no choice in this. I've heard so many horror stories about them that they're the real reason I haven't bothered to get a TV yet (the property manager here was so apologetic when she told me that their only provider option is Time Warner, I thought she was going to offer me a refund on my rent). My father no longer has internet access at home after their tech support was so rude to him that he cancelled both his internet and cable. (He switched to the Dish Network for the latter; their 'net access is around $70/month, and my parents don't go online enough to justify that expenditure.)

I have both digital cable and wireless internet service from Time Warner, and I've never had a serious problem with either.

When the internet went out once a year ago, I did call tech support and they were fairly nice and helpful, so maybe it's all luck of the draw.
