Sign of the Times: I have been invited to a CLE that focuses on "strategies to obtain or deny insurance coverage related to global warming claims."
February 19, 2008 02:39 PM
So now, apparently, companies are going to look to their insurer when they get sued for supposedly causing global warming:
As companies face potential litigation and EPA regulation, they are turning to their insurers to address the potential liability related to climate change. There is much uncertainty and many questions that insurers and their policyholders should consider now.
Listen and participate from your telephone as our authoritative panel examines what claims are being filed, insurance coverage issues facing companies and insurers, and how companies and insurers can mitigate risk and liability.
So you were wondering who's going to pay for the global warming ridiculousness? If not through your tax dollars, it will be through increased insurance rates. Which means the costs of this stupidity will get passed on to YOU. Big surprise. We'll be screwed either way.
